It's a pretty crazy concept but it works well despite my initial reservations. There are over 40 nations to choose from including crazy nations like nations of spiders, robots and mutants. If you're a Fallout fan then you'll have fun greeking out over the crazy techs, nations and events they added into the game. Project Nevada modifies the game in several ways, for example it adds in a sprint function, bullet time function, custom perks and weapons. It rebalances the combat to make it more "skill" based and more like a FPS rather than an RPG by decreasing your health and enemy health. It also makes the game more challenging and more immersive among several other things.
